Tonight, the hill climb marked the start of the
Crawley Wheelers Cycling Club TT season. The evening was chilly, so it was not surprising the field of riders was a little down on last year.
The evening started with a wedding ring being lost on the road which we hoped was not a bad omen, luckily it was found at the end of the night.
Despite the lower number of riders, we saw some good times and a lot of enthusiasm.
It was only a question of time before
Oscar Nisbett would win his first event. And tonight, he nailed it with an impressive time of 6:09. It is going to be an exciting season as last year the Juniors gave the senior members a run for their money. This year they are bigger and stronger.
While
Oscar Nisbett stormed away, the midfield was tight, with half the entries of the night falling into a 10 second window. Lots of friendly rivalries to come here.
It was nice to welcome
Adrian Feasby Feasby as it was his first Crawley Wheelers Club TT and we welcomed Roger Hutchings as a guest from East Grinstead.
Sadly, there were no ladies tonight, but we are looking forward to the great turn out we have had in the previous couple of years for the 10 milers and longer distances.
