Tonight, we returned to Horne for the first CW 10-mile TT of the season. 17 riders enjoyed the evening sunshine and perfect conditions to set their time to beat over the next few weeks.
We had a selection of seasoned TT regulars and some of our newer members. It was great to see junior member Oscar Nisbett out on the course tonight. It was his first 10-mile TT and he looked strong throughout. Oscar manged an impressive time of 27:21 We are looking forward to seeing how he progresses over the season.
Andrea and Helen represented the ladies tonight. They both set a good pace and said they were looking forward to participating on this course throughout the summer. Last year the CW ladies celebrated record numbers. We hope we can repeat this in 2021.
The men looked determined tonight. The fastest time of the night was
Rupert Robinson with a 23:07 and the fastest on a road bike was
Ryan Machin with 25:12
The evenings are getting lighter and warmer. It would be great to see more of you over the next few weeks. If you have not done a TT before this is a great course to have a go, as it is relatively flat with quiet roads. See you next week at the slightly later time of 7:15.
Your results were:
5) Michael Mackie 25:39
9) Oscar Nisbett 27:21
