Another great turnout for the Crawley Wheelers 10 mile time trial.
Nice to see so many ladies out tonight. 7 in total. The best of the year, so far!
Conditions weren’t as favourable as last week, so times were in general, understandably, down.
With nothing yet to compare to, Adam Venner came over the line suitably pooped. A very respectable 28:42 was his reward.
There were still some PB’s out there though.
Juniors Ella & Oliver shaved 1 & 13 seconds respectively off of their best times.
Sam Cheesman, Gary Cann and Ben Watts took 7, 9 & 16 seconds each, showing steady progress.
Jim’s 1st 10 of the year showed a 58 second improvement over his best from 2020
Ride of the night though goes to young Oscar Nisbett, lowering his best by 1 minute 12 seconds and taking 8th place overall. When you consider the top 5 were on TT bikes, and only 5 seconds off the other 2, one of which is a Cat 3 road racer. There are big things to come for this young man!
