Why chose the Crawley Wheelers?

Some reasons to join us

We pride ourselves on being a friendly and inclusive cycling club and strive to make everyone welcome no matter what their aims; fitness, leisure, social or racing.
We cater for the whole spectrum of riders from those who are just getting into riding right through to hard-core road racers, time trialists and cyclo-cross nuts and we are pleased to offer ladies only rides run by our very own British Cycling Breeze Champion.
Riding with a group has many benefits; it’s more sociable; you’ll learn new routes that take you off busy main roads; you’ll pick up tips and techniques to assist with many aspects of your riding.
Our organised ride program is designed and structured to provide a clear progression path so that those riders who wish to progress have the opportunity to do so in manageable steps, however there is no pressure on anyone to move to a faster group if they don’t want to.
Our club coach runs a number of group training sessions throughout the year designed to move riders to the next level and will also take private commissions.
We are a very active player in the regional racing scene, each year organising two open road races, two open time trials and a round of the London Cyclo-cross League as well as a full program of club time trials and some track racing too.
Our members ride many sportives and charity rides, all over the country and regularly ride on the continent including an annual training camp in Majorca.

What our members say

With Crawley Wheelers it is so different, new riders (as I once was) are welcomed from the minute they turn up and encouraged to discover the shear joy of riding a bike with new friends.
Stephen Baynes.
The club is friendly, welcoming for all abilities and very supportive and encouraging especially if you are scared of hills or simply doubt your ability as a cyclist.
Dee Mac Taggart.
“I’ll never need bother with the Gym again because the Crawley Wheeler buzz keeps me coming back for more”.
Steve Rabson.
